Top Ten of 2013 {a year in review}

Happy New Year, fellow bloggers and readers! Here is a round up of the top 10 blogs viewed on my website this year. (Only one posted in 2013. Hmph.)

    1. Easy Dirt Cake. Surprisingly lots of people are searching for a dirt cake recipe without cream cheese. And that’s how they are landing at my blog. My mom used to make (a version) of this cake for parties and potlucks.

    2. Whipping Cream Pancakes. Posted in 2013! During my pancake phase. I was trying to recreate a pancake found at chain resaurant. Always a good idea, right?whippingcreampancakes1
    3. Ancho Chili Ranch Dressing. Love it. But surprised it’s received so many hits. This flavor ranch dressing was served at a restaurant where I worked for 8 years.SAM_2580
    4. Peanut Butter Cream Pie. I am honestly surprised this post is not the most viewed post at all times. This pie is modeled after Yoder’s Restaurant pie. As far as I know, their recipe is a secret. This is one fantastic pie!SAM_7723
    5. Leftover Filet Mignon Turned Cheese Steak Sandwich. Back when I lived in California my boyfriend and I ate a lot of steak. This was our solution for leftovers.SAM_0473
    6. Homemade Garlic Buffalo Wing Sauce. The popularity of this post makes sense to me. Everyone loves buffalo wings, right?SAM_8344
    7. Cheerio Bars. My original posting of this is from 2010, but I re-blogged the post this year and took updated photos. These bars were served as dessert at my high school.cheerio5
    8. Salmon, Spinach, and Mushroom Pasta in Cream Cheese Sauce. This dish was a pure gem made of ingredients on hand/in my fridge right before I moved from California to Arizona (in an effort to clean out my fridge).

    9. Easy Boneless Buffalo Chicken Strips. For all those buffalo wing eaters out there there are just as many people who want a good recipe for boneless wings.

      Toss with buffalo sauce to give plain boneless chicken strips a kick.

    10. McCormick’s Quesadilla Casserole. This is one of my very first blog posts. I didn’t think it was that great of a dish at the time but the general popularity ofquesadilla casserole lives on.slice

Well I was going to do a list of the top ten posts of 2013, but my nearly six-year old lap top is finally on its last leg. The screen has gone black. I’m finishing this post by one-finger typing on my iPad. Gotta say that the predictive text on this thing is not all that amazing. Thank you everyone for reading and sharing this past year. See you all in 2014!
