Use this sauce as a base for pizza or toss it with your favorite shaped pasta. If you don’t already have an easy marinara sauce recipe, this one will become your go-to recipe.
Makes enough for approximately one large pizza. Would probably make enough for about 8 oz. of pasta, depending on how much sauce you like with your pasta.
- 1 14.5 oz. can of whole peeled tomatoes
- pinch of dried Oregano
- pinch of dried Basil
- pinch of salt
- pinch of garlic powder
- Empty contents of the can into a small sauce pan and crush the tomatoes with a fork.
- Stir in the herbs and seasonings.
- Boil over a medium heat until the liquid has reduced to about half.
