- 3 eggs
- 1 T. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. flour
- Mix all ingredients. Dough should not be slightly runny, not stiff.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Using two spoons, drop the dough by small teaspoonfuls into the boiling water. (Use one spoon to scrape the dough from the other spoon.) Let boil at gentle rolling boil for three to five minutes.
- Remove from water and serve.
My mom always made these when she made her famous chicken soup. However, when she was a kid she used to eat a steaming bowl full with butter. They’re pretty much my favorite part of chicken and dumpling soup, so a heaping bowl of these dumplings with butter would make a great meal!
